Email #01 - 4th, June, 2018 - The importance of planning ahead

Hi Team,

This week I would like to focus on the importance of planning ahead. So I have chosen a specific quote to kick this off.

"Planning is bringing the future into the present so you can do something about it now." Alan Larkein.

I have found theat we experience the same problems and holdups on each job, which leads to frustration and dissapointment for us and upset and stressed out clients. So it is vital for us all to look ahead and predict these problems and holdups in advance so we can plan ways of avoiding the same problem over and over again. One of our "core values" is to constantly improve what we do and we can only do this if we learn from our past experiences and change the way we do things.

We have experienced the following three problems on almost every job;
1, Builders pole power connection timing.
2, The connection of permanent power difficulties.
3, Telstra services connection.

So we must collectively plan ahead for these problems and prevent them form causing holdups and stress on any future jobs. I will welcome any suggestions of how to avoid these problems on any future jobs and we will discuss this theme of the importance of planning ahead at the next team meeting.

Thanks for reading and have a well planned week.
David.
