Stephen Crafti Chooses DDB home in this year's Architectural Tours of Melbourne
Stephen Crafti is a leading Architecture & Design Writer. With more than 40 books to his name and writing for Australia’s leading newspapers and magazines, including the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Australian Financial Review, Crafti is highly regarded in his field.
Stephen Crafti has been writing about design and architecture since the early 1990s. Inspired by the architecture around him in Melbourne, Australia, he is keen to share the things he sees so he started Architours which run architectural private tours four times a year through some of Melbourne’s best and often ward winning homes.
Our Wellington st project designed by Matt Gibson Architects was proud to be selected by Crafti and included in this year’s tour which ran over one week end in July 2017. Fifty three guests gained entry into what would normally be a private home to learn what happens on the inside of some of Melbourne’s most interesting projects.
Free to wander around the home, talks by Stephen Crafti , Matt Gibson Architects and DDB Design Builders gave informative and some times humorous details about the interior design process, the architectural philosophy and the construction challenges addressed on such a small infill site.
